Shaishav is a local NGO based in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. Shaishav's mission is to ensure that all children, particularly the underprivileged, receive all basic rights and experience the joys of childhood equally; allowing all children to become productive, socially sensitive and democratically skilled citizens. 

Shaishav's goals are to:
• Ensure provision of quality education to all children which supports their holistic development
• Provide a platform where children and youth can achieve their basic rights in a child-centered environment with the support of adults
• Develop child-friendly resources and make them available to all stakeholders

Job Description:
Shaishav is seeking an experienced Balsena Programme Organiser to manage our children’s collectives. This is a senior education delivery role within Shaishav. The Organiser will: 
• Work with the Director and Programme Co-ordinator to develop and manage the whole children’s collective (including children and youth from 6 to 25)
• Plan and effectively implement a child rights and life skills curriculum and experiential learning models
• Monitor and evaluate the programmes, ensuring results against outcomes
• Support the senior trainer in training staff to deliver the programmes and training children and youth to lead aspects of the programmes
• Work with parents and the community to ensure acceptance of and support for the programmes

Person specification:
Shaishav is seeking a candidate to continue to strengthen the organisation’s reputation for excellence in the promotion of child rights. Candidates must be able to work from our Bhavnagar office full time. Desired skills and competencies include:
• Experience working directly with children
• A solid understanding of child rights, child participation and life skills (defined by World Health Organization)
• Good English communication skills, including written English 
• Gujarati and/or Hindi speaker
• Computer skills
• Willingness to travel
• Postgraduate degree in any subject
• Strong communication skills
