Sahjeevan is an environment organization active in parts of Kachchh district of Gujarat. Under the Biodiversity Conservation Unit, there are various projects going on for which we are looking out for two researchers.
There is a requirement of an Asst. Project Coordinator/ Project Coordinator for the project. All the required qualification as well as job description is mentioned below :
1. For the preparation of People Biodiversity Register (one of the requirement under the Biodiversity Management Committee panchayat level), one need to be on a constant field visits, communicating with the locals, capacity building of the community and assisting participatory mapping grazing land for various pastoral communities, in particularly, for camel breeders and sheep & goat herders.
2. He/She will be posted in the Taluka head-quarters, i.e., Nakhatrana or Naliya.
3. He/she needs to compile all the data collected and analyse the same.
4. Skills in writing /speaking English, HIndi and Gujarati is one of the requirements we are keenly looking at as well.
Eligibility:
Researcher with interest and experience in conservation research and education and Masters in Life Science( Botany, Zoology, Forestry and Environmental science) and equivalent qualification with Ecology as major subject with a proven ability to conduct research independently can also apply.
The probation period is for 6months, there is a chance for extension after assessment, selected researchers will get Rs. 12,000/- to Rs.15,000/- per month.

No TA/DA will be given for attending the walk-in interview.
